Amal Clooney
Amal Clooney, born Amal Alamuddin from Lebanon, is a Lebanese and British barrister who has been a human rights advocate over the years. When she graduated from Oxford University School of Law she embarked on an enduring and lucrative professional career within human rights and international law. Her high-profile clients have included numerous nation states, including the state of Armenia in its fight to be recognized as Armenia's participation in the Armenian Genocide by the Turkish government. Amal Clooney got engaged to American actor George Clooney to marry him in 2014, and instantly became a household-name in popular culture. Her name was well-known and admired for her ability to represent clients successfully and with expertise within the legal profession years before. It is her job to represent multinational companies in court proceedings and negotiations about government regulation, as well as human rights or social justice.
